Cookie Policy

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. On each later request the browser sends it back, which is how a site can remember a setting you chose.

"Similar technologies" covers anything else that stores or reads information on your device, or that identifies your browser without storing anything — local storage, for example, or a script that counts page views. We use the phrase because both measurement tools described in section 2 set no cookie at all, and the law still applies to what they do.

This policy covers arrow-game.fun. It does not cover the sites we link to.

2. The cookies we set

Two cookies, both strictly necessary, both set by us. No third party sets a cookie on this site.

Neither cookie tracks you, neither is used for advertising, and neither can be switched off through a banner, because without them the site cannot do what you asked it to. You can still block them in your browser; the language will then reset on every visit.

Your level and your sound setting are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. They never leave your device and we never see them.

Measurement, and why there is no banner

Plausible sets no cookies at all. It counts page views without writing anything to your device — no cookie, no cache entry, no local storage — and without a persistent identifier. It processes your IP address to work out an approximate country and then discards it; it builds no profile of you and follows you to no other site.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also sets no cookies. It differs from Plausible in one way worth stating plainly: it is switched on at our CDN provider rather than in the site's code, so it is present on every page. Cloudflare's own documentation states that its beacon uses no client-side state — no cookie, no local storage — and does not fingerprint you through your IP address, User Agent or anything else. It reports the page path, the referring link, an approximate country, device type, browser, operating system and page-speed measurements.

Because neither stores or reads anything on your device, the consent rules that govern cookies do not apply to them, and both run on our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are used and how quickly they load. That is also why you see no cookie banner here: there is no cookie-setting analytics or advertising provider on this site, so there is nothing to ask you about. Section 4 explains how to object to the measurement anyway.

No advertising cookies. No advertising or remarketing technology is installed on this site. If that ever changes, this policy and a consent banner will be in place first, and we will ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.

Cookies we do not control

This policy covers what happens on arrow-game.fun. It does not cover cookies set on a third-party site we link to. Those are governed by that party's own cookie and privacy policies, not by this one.

4. How to manage your choices

Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Blocking the two cookies in section 2 does not break the game.

Plausible. It sets no cookies and builds no cross-site profile, so there is nothing to opt out of at its end. If you object to this measurement, a browser-level content blocker will stop the script, and you can contact us at support@arrow-game.fun to exercise your right to object under Article 21 of the UK GDPR.

Cloudflare Web Analytics. The same applies, with one difference: it is injected by our CDN rather than by the site's code, so a content blocker is the only client-side way to stop the beacon. Cloudflare's handling of the data is covered by its own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Nothing you choose here changes the game. Every feature of Arrow Game works exactly the same either way, and we will not keep asking.

6. Changes and contact

We update this policy whenever the set of cookies changes. The version number and date at the top of this page tell you which text is currently in force.
